Technology

Speed, quality, modern technology.

LED UV flexo printing, low-migration inks, HD 175 lpi quality. We work with Avery Dennison, Fedrigoni, Ritrama, UPM Raflatac and others.

/01Process

From artwork to the finished label.

Flexography allows very fast label printing in long runs — on rolls ready for automatic labelling machines. It is a difficult, demanding technology, but thanks to years of practice we achieve the highest quality. Once commercial terms are agreed, the collaboration runs as follows:

/01

Artwork analysis

We receive the artwork and analyse it for flexo printing — beyond the standard DTP rules, flexography has its own specific requirements. To use the full potential of HD quality, the artwork has to be prepared properly — you will find the full guidelines under “Artwork specs”, and we also send them by e-mail.

/02

Approval and proof

We send the files for approval (soft proof). On request we print a physical proof — you see the colours and give every detail on the label a final check.

/03

Photopolymer plates

The elements that physically transfer ink to the material — they work a bit like large, precise stamps, one for each colour. We use the best on the market — Kodak Flexcel NX. As standard they are ready within 48 hours, sometimes faster.

/04

Printing

The finished plates go onto the press, which we set up for the job — and production begins.

/05

Finishing and delivery

We rewind the labels onto rolls with the specified parameters — wind, core, direction — pack and deliver.

A pace clients appreciate

Your file comes back from prepress often the same day, and we can prepare and ship a physical proof within a day. Where at other printers you wait days just for file processing — here the work is already under way.

175lpi
HD print
Printing speed
80–120m/min

Depending on the complexity of the label, the press prints at 80–120 metres per minute. At that pace the human eye cannot make out details on the label — which is why our presses are equipped with digital optical print inspection systems that check every metre of labels.

02 / Specification

Druk fleksograficzny LED UV, low-migration inks, HD 175 lpi quality.

175lpi

Screen ruling

Screen ruling is the density of the printing screen — the higher it is, the finer the detail and the smoother the tonal transitions. The flexo standard is 120–150 lpi. We print at 175 lpi — precision comparable to offset: sharp micro text, clean gradients, photographic depth.

LEDUV

Ink curing

We cure the inks with LED diodes instead of conventional UV mercury lamps. It is an eco-friendly system: it uses far less energy, emits no ozone or excess heat that distorts thin films — and the print is cured instantly, immediately ready for further processing.

lowmigration

Farby niskomigracyjne

We print with low-migration inks. Compared with conventional UV inks they are far safer for food-industry labels — and compliant with EU standards.

8colours

More than CMYK

Eight print units open up possibilities unavailable as standard: double white, opaque colours and Pantone, as well as inline finishes such as Cast & Cure.

03 / Materials

We work with Avery Dennison, Fedrigoni, Ritrama, UPM Raflatac and others.

Thanks to these suppliers we keep the most popular materials at hand — and when a project calls for it, we reach for truly specialist materials you will not find in any standard price list.

Clear films

Film on which white ink looks truly elegant. We also offer the no-label look — the artwork looks as if printed straight onto the pack.

White PP / PE films

Waterproof and durable — cosmetics, chemicals, beverages.

Semi-gloss papers

The most popular standard — vivid CMYK colour, takes finishes well.

Vellum paper

Uncoated, matt, with a natural character — for labels with a handcrafted, “eco” look.

Thermal papers Thermo Eco / Thermo Top

For thermal printers — Eco for dry applications, Top with a coating against moisture and grease.

Wash-off adhesives — design for recycling

The whole label construction — film and adhesive — chosen so that it separates cleanly from the pack in the alkaline bath during recycling. PET bottles and glass return to circulation without adhesive traces. Our answer to the trend of sustainable packaging design (design for recycling).

Metallised films

Gold, silver and holographic — mirror gloss and premium effects that catch the eye on the shelf.

Wet-strength wine papers

Withstand hours in an ice bucket — they do not fall apart or lose adhesion in water.

Deep-freeze adhesives

Application down to −25 °C, on frosted and damp surfaces — frozen food, ice cream, cold stores.

FSC and recycled materials

Up to 100% recycled content — for brands that put sustainability first.

Premium textured papers

Cotton, laid, felt — a tangible texture for wine, spirits and premium cosmetics.

Chemical films to BS5609

Resistant to seawater immersion and aggressive substances — chemical transport, GHS labelling.

04 / Finishing

More than print — the quality of finishing that makes your product stand out on the shelf.

Standing out on the shelf is not only a matter of graphic design — the quality and character of the label finish count too. That is why we offer a range of finishes that increase the visual appeal, durability and functionality of labels.

/01

Gloss UV varnish

gloss over the whole label surface — livelier colours and protection of the print

/02

Matt UV varnish

deep, elegant matt — a refined finish without reflections

/03

Spot UV varnish

highlights selected design elements — e.g. the logo or product name — with a gloss contrast

/04

Metallic effect

printing on gold, silver and holographic materials — opaque white where the colour should be ordinary, metal where it should shine

/05

White ink printing

opaque white under the artwork on clear and metallised materials

/06

Metallised and holographic films

mirror silver, gold and holographic effects — a gloss and depth that cannot be achieved with print alone
