Paper labels
The maths is simple: where the label does not have to work in water, good paper gives the best price per piece.
Glass cleaner from the supermarket shelf, a jar of preserves, an outer case — most products do not need film. They need well-printed paper with an adhesive matched to the packaging and a fair price at runs counted in tens of thousands.
Choose from uncoated papers (vellum), semi-gloss, high-gloss cast gloss and textured papers — almost entirely FSC-certified, also in versions with recycled content (up to 100% recycled fibre). Short runs we print digitally, long runs in flexo LED UV with low-migration inks. Permanent, removable or special adhesive — depending on what the label has to stick to.
Good to know
A practical tip to start: if the label should feel matt and “papery”, choose vellum; if the colours need to pop on the shelf — semi-gloss. Standard white papers are the most widely available materials in the whole industry, so they are also the safest choice when time matters.
What you can choose from
Vellum — uncoated paper
Matt, absorbent, natural to the touch. The cheapest carrier for long runs, takes thermal transfer overprinting very well. The choice for preserves, outer cases and anywhere the budget matters.
Semi-gloss (machine-coated)
The label market standard: a smooth, slightly glossy surface, vivid CMYK colours. Takes finishes well. If you do not know where to start — start with semi-gloss.
Cast gloss — high gloss
Mirror smoothness without lamination. For products that need to shine on the shelf but do not need the resistance of film.
Textured and speciality papers
Linen, laid, wine papers, gold and silver — when the label is part of a premium experience. More on this family under Textured papers.
FSC and recycling
Almost the whole portfolio is FSC-certified; versions with up to 100% recycled fibre — including papers containing glassine recovered from label liners.
The adhesive does half the work
Permanent acrylic
A universal adhesive for jars, bottles and cartons. Holds reliably on smooth and slightly rough surfaces, approved for food contact.
Removable
Comes off cleanly, without a trace — for packaging from which the customer removes the label.
Reinforced for cardboard
Increased initial tack on cardboard — including recycled board, which can be a surprisingly difficult surface.
