Gold and silver labels
A black bottle, a gold frame, a metal mirror — that is what “pick me up” looks like without a single word.
On the spirits shelf the eye catches gold first. We print on vacuum-metallised papers and aluminium foil laminates, printing them so that only the chosen elements stay mirrored. Opaque white ink mutes the metal where the colour should be ordinary — and where it should shine, we leave pure gold or silver.
Transparent inks on a metallised facestock give deep, “backlit” colours that CMYK on white paper cannot reproduce. Metallisation sealed between layers does not dull over the whole life of the label. We prepare the artwork for the registration of white and transparent inks, colour by colour.
Good to know
Advice from our designers: gold works hardest when there is less of it. A mirrored logo or a single ornament on a calm background does more than a label that is gold from edge to edge. During design we will help you decide what to leave “in metal” and what to cover with white and colour.
What you can choose from
Vacuum-metallised papers
Silver and gold in mirror or matt finish. Printed with transparent inks they give a deep metallic; unprinted areas remain pure metal.
Aluminium foil laminates
Paper with an aluminium layer — more intense gloss and stiffness, the classic of spirits labels.
Encapsulated metallisation
The metal layer is sealed between the material layers — the gloss does not dull over the whole life of the label.
Dyed-through black papers
Deep black dyed through the pulp — an elegant base for metallic accents and varnishes. The foundation of stylish whisky and vermouth labels.
The adhesive does half the work
Wine adhesive
Holds on wet, cold glass — in the fridge and in the ice bucket. Repositionable versions make hand application easier in small series.
Permanent food-grade
A universal adhesive approved for food contact — for jars and bottles on the dry shelf.
